As of 1 July 2018, we will see changes to the Disability Services Employment program which will give participants a greater choice about the services they receive.
As of the beginning of July 2018, participants will be able to:
- choose a DES provider that you would like to work with, in a location that is convenient to you
- choose how you receive services (e.g. face-to-face, over the phone or video chat) after an initial face-to-face meeting
- work with your provider to develop a job plan, which sets out the support you will get from your provider to give you the best chance of getting a job; and
- change providers if you are not happy with the level of service you are receiving.
We believe that these proposed changes will provide an opportunity for further growth, which will allow us to assist more people with a disability, injury or health condition in finding and keeping long-term jobs. In anticipation for this growth, we have opened new offices in Epping, Lilydale and Doreen to better facilitate our clients in the Eastern regions of Melbourne.
If you are a participant and would like further information on what these changes mean for you, please don’t hesitate to get in contact on 9450 5700.
